The Prodigals Play CD101's "Big Room"

The Prodigals will be playing the "Big Room" at CD101, Columbus, Ohio's fabulous indie alternative station, TODAY (Friday!) at NOON, as part of the big ramp-up to this weekend's Dublin Irish Festival.

If you have access to an Internet connection and speakers, you can listen to the program LIVE!

Just go to the CD101 Web site, and hit the "Listen Live" button on the top-left. (Nothing to download, just crank your speakers!)

A huge thanks goes out to everyone at CD101 who helped make this happen!

Site Update: Additions to Portfolio

It's been crazy busy, hence the lack of substantive updates. I'm bucking the trend today: Check out the new case studies in the portfolio section, documenting my work with METROCON 2003 and METROCON 2004.

Project Updates

First the shoutout:

- A HUGE one goes out to our wonderful street team up in Ohio, who helped promote The Prodigals' Cleveland Irish Festival appearances this weekend! This "gang of seven" rocks: By the time they got done, they hit just about half of our normal posting/drop locations, despite the fact they represent only about a third of our normal team!

Now the status report:

- Still working on Prodigals promotions for the Dublin Irish Festival (August 5, 6 and 7). There's going to be a fun announcement, but GG gets to break it. Street team is kicking off this week, and the new flyer has been posted in the press kit. Media promotions are already in progress.

** If you live (or know someone who lives) in the Columbus, OH and Dublin, OH areas and are interested in helping out with street team, drop me an e-mail!!

- Everything is going along swimmingly with projects at work, and

- Most of this weekend will be spent on the converting AnimeMonitor to SE-friendly links before the promotional campaign for it starts in earnest.

It's going to be busy! (But that certainly makes things much more interesting!)

Pre-July 4th Weekend

Back from a writing gig covering last weekend's con in Tampa -- if you follow my other sites, you'll have a chance to read the resulting article -- and gearing up for a fun, if busy, Independence Day weekend.

A quick plug for those readers in the Midwest:

The Prodigals will be playing Radio Radio, a very cool venue in Indianapolis, Indiana this Saturday (July 2). Tickets are $13 in advance and $15 at the door.

It's a special show because it was organized by two very devoted fans. (You see, when I say Proddies fans rock, I'm not exaggerating!)

Hope your July 4th is a blast!

Welcome & Watch This Space

Welcome to the blog component of ALRPR.com.

This is basically an easily updated corner of my Web site where I can give a shout out to my clients and professional acquaintances -- and mouth off about current developments in the worlds of marketing, communications and media.

Now doesn't that sound fun?

At the very least, I'll try to make it entertaining. Promise. < grin >
